This is one of the first things I knitted after I had become comfortable with knitting and purling (and had exhausted the scarf!).
The pattern came from a fantastic site that posts free and easy patterns. It is a great pattern for beginners because you make each individual part (the head, the legs, the ears, the arms) then you sew them altogether with a tapestry needle.
